Banjoben's Personal Tab Collection: 99 Essential Bluegrass Banjo Solos
a tablature collection for my serious bluegrass banjo students
This is a set of tabs of 99 essential and classic bluegrass banjo solos, (see list below,) that I have developed over the years for my students who want to expand their knowledge of the bluegrass banjo classic repertoire. It is not an instruction manual for beginners.
You can hear each individual arrangement, played by me as an mp3....see the list below!

The easy-to-read (LARGE) tabs ( SAMPLE OF tab of Back Up and Push.PDF FILE ) in this collection are printed on photocopied, 3 hole-punched sheets intended to go into my students' binders. They are all excellent arrangements of well-known bluegrass banjo standards for the advanced beginner or intermediate level. This collection contains arrangements that are thought of as definitive or, if a song does not really have a definitive version, I have arranged something that made a lot of musical sense, sounded good and "real", yet was easy enough to learn.
"If you are committed to becoming a serious bluegrass banjoist, you should be familiar with all the tunes on this list, as it constitutes what I think is required reading for banjo pickers".... Bill J., New York City

Praise for the tab collection:
"Ben: Thanks for doing these tabs. I have been wanting to know what constitutes the basic banjo repertoire. There are a lot of tabs here, but I am taking my time with them. They are clear and well arranged."....H. Y. in Maine
Ben: "The tabs are great. I like that they are printed kind of large, they are easy to see. I've been wanting a collection of banjo "standards", and this foots the bill."... G. K, in Oklahoma
